Launching soon - gas utilisation qualifications

Our suite of level 3 qualifications in domestic gas utilisation is due to launch during September, providing several routes for successful learners to join the Gas Safe Register.

The 19 qualifications, developed closely with sector skills council Energy & Utility Skills, are relevant for a variety of roles, including metering, gas emergency service first call operatives, and the installation and maintenance of cookers, tumble dryers, leisure equipment, domestic space heating, domestic warm air heating, water heating and wet central heating.  Several qualifications within the suite form part of Energy & Utility Skills’ Apprenticeship framework for the gas industry at level 3 in England and Wales.

In addition to these are four qualifications which are relevant to plumbing and heating roles, incorporating gas requirements.  Developed with sector skills councils SummitSkills and Energy & Utility Skills, a number of these qualifications feature in the Apprenticeship framework for the Plumbing and Heating industry at level 3.

Covering all aspects of gas safety, the suite will help successful learners to pursue Gas Safe registration in a wide range of categories.
