New Employer Ownership of Skills pilot launched

The new Employer Ownership of Skills pilot has been developed and launched to engage employers in the design and development of their own training solutions. The £250 million investment fund is jointly overseen by UKCES, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department for Education, and is intended to facilitate the continued development of skilled workforces across the UK.
The first phase of the programme invites proposals from employers, asking them to set out how they would use public investment, alongside their own, to improve the skills of their current and future workforce in return for greater flexibility in the design and delivery of publicly funded training.
